As more businesses shift to e-Commerce, deploying a Digital Trust & Safety solution has become more important than ever before, as traditional ways of fighting fraud become obsolete. In this session, we will discuss current fraud trends that we expect to continue into the holiday season, and ways that you can prepare your teams to face it head on. Ingenico - Innovation and the Customer Experience in a Post-COVID World
Whether we recognize it now or not, COVID-19 will have a lasting effect on how merchants and consumers interact. And while many merchants were quick to adopt health and safety measures, much what was done was intended to be temporary. Moving forward, merchants will need to innovate quickly to meet changing consumer needs, but luckily much of the technology they need already exists. They key will be leveraging them correctly to provide new experiences that drive revenue and loyalty.
PresenterBradford Giles, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Enablement

Kount - Understanding Digital Identity & the Customer Journey
Since the onset of 2020, eCommerce has evolved at a rapid pace, with many companies introducing new revenue channels such as mobile ordering and BOPIS. As quickly as businesses have had to adapt, so have those attempting to commit fraud, forcing them to find new ways to infiltrate businesses with tactics new to the fraud prevention space. In order to combat these bad actors, identity trust thought the entire customer journey, not just at the point of payment, is more critical than ever. But if not done correctly, it can create unnecessary friction in the payment process, leading to cart abandonment and unnecessary loss in profits. Learn how Kount can bridge the gap between physical and digital fraud to protect the entire customer journey using its network of more than 32 billion risk and trust signals per transaction from more than 9,000 brands globally.
Presenter: Martin Hambalek, Director of Product Delivery

Deluxe Corporation - Accelerating Paper-Based Commerce
A significant portion of US GDP is collected via lockbox networks, a traditional payment service that relies on paper and physical mail to collect payments, capture remittance information, and update a company’s Accounts Receivable (A/R) ledger.  It’s a proven solution and works well – but is paper intensive and relies on the US mail.   In this session, learn how Deluxe is partnering with banks and healthcare processors to digitize traditional lockbox payments, eliminating the need for mail transportation and paper-based lockbox processing, while retaining the resiliency and rich remittance information of traditional lockbox processing.

Keynote Address - The Future of Payments: Get to Know the FedNow Service Features and Opportunities

Instant payments are shaping the future of the U.S. payments ecosystem and stakeholders across the spectrum are directing their attention to it – merchants included. August’s Federal Register Notice marked a key milestone in the development of the FedNow Service, which will provide core clearing and settlement capabilities to support a broad range of transaction types and instant payments use cases. For the merchant community, the FedNow Service is an infrastructure to spur innovation at virtual and physical point-of-sale systems. It also presents an opportunity to explore greater efficiency gains and ways to enrich the customer experience. Hear FedNow Program Executive Ken Montgomery share an overview of the phased development plan for the service, initial features and functionality, and potential long-term impacts this new payments environment will create for the business community.

Expanding Payment Options

Consumers are constantly changing the way they engage with merchants and this includes payments as well. As a merchant, how do you know which new forms of payment are worth implementing in your checkout process. Should you be considering accepting P2P networks at your POS or should you be prioritizing the acceptance of international payments like WeChat? And what will the new payment rail being developed by the Federal Reserve mean to your acceptance landscape?  Come hear from the panel of experts in how they see consumer habits changing and why you might want to include some of these new forms of payments in your roadmap.

The New Normal: Balancing Fraud, Sales, and the Customer Experience

2020 has been a tumultuous year. And although we’re all eager to get back to ‘normal’, there’s no going back to the way things were. This is  particularly true for digital commerce, where online customers are now turning up in droves. But merchants should beware.

Surviving the new normal means watching out for enterprising fraudsters while maintaining strong customer experiences by ensuring false positives don’t turn away good buyers and reducing transaction confusion to keep a lid on friendly fraud. The good news? Not only can you survive, but you’ll thrive with some tips on navigating through a pandemic as a merchant.

In this session, Keith Briscoe (Ethoca) and Justin Staskiewicz (Restaurant Brands International) will discuss:

  • The current state of fraud and how data can – and should – be used to prevent it without driving up false positives and hurting sales.
  • How friendly fraud is affecting various industries, and what merchants can do to avoid it.
  • What trends we can expect going in to 2021
Moderator: Eric O'Brien, Merchant Advisory Group
Presenters: Keith Briscoe, Ethoca and Justin Staskiewicz, Restaurant Brands International

Whose Data is it Anyway?

Payments systems are based on the safe and efficient transfer of data, but who owns that data as it moves through the system. If you send basket data to a fraud provider should you be concerned about what happens with the data? Or if when you use 3DS and provide the additional data fields, how can that data be used besides to complete the transaction? A panel of experts will discuss the current state of data usage and privacy. After attending this session, you should be able to understand what happens to data as it passes through the payment system.
