Time to Renew Your MAG Membership for 2020!
It continues to be an active time in the payments industry and we want you to stay informed. There are many valuable benefits you receive as a MAG member, including complimentary attendance to MAG conferences and exclusive access to educational resources. Earlier this week, each primary merchant member or billing contact received an email containing the MAG 2020 membership dues renewal along with the 2019 Annual Report outlining MAG accomplishments over the past year. The MAG 2019-2020 Board of Directors Election took place in August with the results announced during the Merchant Only Session at the 2019 Annual Conference in September. The voting resulted in the following re-elected candidates: Dee O'Malley (Best Buy) and Chris Priebe (Southwest Airlines). We thank those that were re-elected for your continued leadership and dedication to the MAG. New board officers start January 1, 2020. Merchant Advisory Group Top Accomplishments of 2019

This year MAG launched new strategies which identified 5 core pillars: Collaboration, Education, Advocacy, Innovation and Engagement. In each of these key pillars we have identified top objectives for moving MAG forward and have seen great results through these efforts. Membership has increased to 157 members, a 9% increase, which now reflects all of the top ten and 19 of the top 20 retailers. Conference attendance has increased by almost 30% and sponsors represent 66 of the leading payment companies, a 10% increase.

What Role Should Merchants Play in Standards?
