MAG's 8th Annual Conference

Payments have always played an integral role in commerce, but have gradually taken on far more importance. Today, cost of payment acceptance has risen to a level that rivals cost of occupancy and human resources for many merchants. Omni-channel commerce, the importance of big data, and the need to minimize time at the checkout have joined cost as major considerations for developing a comprehensive payments strategy. Attendees will hear from leading merchants and payments experts why payment strategies are more important than ever as well as sessions on debit routing, preventing fraud, ACH, Omni-Channel and the latest on EMV. View the conference agenda.

Over 78% of the MAG membership has already committed to attend, and we are expecting record setting numbers. Three (3) representatives from each MAG merchant member company can attend MAG conferences at no charge!

Before September 2nd: First three registrations FREE, any additional attendees $495 per person.

After September 2nd: First three registrations $100 per person, any additional attendees $595 per person.

MAG Best Practices: Transaction Security Survey Results

A core mission of the MAG is to provide education and advocacy for our member merchants in regard to the U.S. payment ecosystem. The MAG board of directors determined that one way to move toward fulfilling these objectives is to create a repository of benchmarks and best practices that has result in a sequence of the surveys covering topics prioritized by the MAG membership.

The first benchmarking survey focused on interchange optimization. A summary of the survey responses and a valuable best practices tool were published to members on the MAG website under Member Resources (members must be logged in to access these documents).

Transaction Security was the second survey we conducted. Survey results and a brief summary will be sent to MAG members and also posted on the MAG website under Member Resources once MAG staff has complied the results. Be on the lookout for a MAGMail referring to these valuable MAG benefits!

In order for our Best Practices to be successful, we need your participation. Please watch for the survey notices and participate whenever possible. Sharing your input provides a louder voice and helps MAG continue to advocate on your behalf. We need participation in order continue to produce these.

Thank you to those who have participated in these important best practices surveys.

Seeking volunteers: The next survey topic scheduled is Least Cost Routing. If you or someone on your team would like to volunteer to be on the task force to craft the survey, please notify MAG Staff.
