The MAG introduces New Member Benefit-the CyberRisk Hub

The MAG is launching a new member benefit, a web-based service to assist members in their effort to effectively manage cyber risk and react to breaches.

Network attacks and privacy violations are occurring with increasing frequency. Even with strong security and privacy controls in place, organizations can be victimized by internal fraud, business interruption, damage to data, theft of data or cyber extortion.

The MAG understands that once an incident occurs, merchants may need immediate help and expertise to respond and recover. Because these incidents can be very complex, companies may need assistance across a broad range of disciplines, including legal/regulatory compliance, privacy, computer forensics, notification and credit monitoring. The MAG is here to help.

To help mitigate loss exposures and provide superior service to its membership, the MAG has launched the MAG CyberRiskHub. The CyberRiskHub is a private, mobile-friendly website that provides tools and resources to help merchants understand their exposures, establish a response plan and minimize the effects of a breach on their organizations. It also serves as a Crisis Center, providing merchants with the information and technical resources they need to respond quickly and effectively to a data breach, privacy violation or other cyber incident. The portal is powered and maintained by NetDiligence®, a leading cyber risk assessment and data breach services company.

The new member benefit will be shared with members at the 2015 Annual Conference in San Antonio TX.  A webinar to educate members on this valuable new benefit is scheduled for mid-October. Visit the MAG website to register for this webinar offering.
