EMV - Top 5 Fraud & Chargebacks Challenges
As of year-end 2016, the percentage of EMV transactions reached 19% in the U.S. while globally EMV transactions reached 52%. This suggests the U.S. has quite a long road ahead. While U.S. eCommerce continues to grow a notable 16 percent per year, merchants face many inefficiencies that can undercut their profitability. PCI Validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) – Vendor Selection, Implementation and Deployment: Lessons Learned
In 2014, North America saw its first PCI-validated P2PE solution come on the market. Since then, the list of validated providers has risen to 45 (as of November 2017), with that number expected to increase in 2018.

A key driver in the growth of PCI P2PE solutions is market need and demand. PCI P2PE enables merchants and enterprises to get reduced PCI assessment scope, saving time and money on annual audits, layered defenses to protect the POS perimeter, and IT staff.

In this session, Bluefin’s Chief Strategy Officer, Ruston Miles, will provide an update on the current validated providers in the market and the types of P2PE solutions offered, including acquirer-based, integrated software, and stand-alone solutions. The session will also overview:

INTERAC has partnered with The NYCE Network to provide Canadian Issued Debit cards with acceptance at US POS since 2004.  To date, this partnership provides US acceptance for non co-branded Canadian Debit Cards from Canada’s largest Issuers at more than 2M POS terminals nation-wide.  As US stakeholders continue to progress through Chip Migration, it is important to understand the requirements for support of Canadian issued cards to ensure seamless inter-operability in a Chip-enabled US POS environment.  The INTERAC team will provide an overview of how these cards are personalized and identify the attributes that US stakeholders need to consider as they work towards chip acceptance.

MAG members and representatives of the Operations and Digital Commerce Committees will share the latest on initiatives which involve collaboration efforts with payment partners to improve operational challenges across all commerce channels, help merchants protect the customer experience, and to promote fairness in the ecosystem.  There were a number of achievements in 2017 as a result of MAG efforts and a number of priorities that will be the focus in 2018.  Hear about both and the opportunity to ask questions of your peers engaged in these efforts.
