Considering the number of high-profile retail data breaches recently, it’s important for merchants of all sizes to understand the nature and severity of the cyber risk they face on a daily basis and how to mitigate that risk in an effective manner. In this webinar, we’ll review the current cyber threat landscape and identify common points of weakness in data security. We’ll talk about the need to regularly assess your cyber risk posture so you can direct your data security budget to areas of greatest exposure. We’ll discuss mitigating your risk with cyber liability insurance and what insurers are paying out for covered data breaches and other cyber incidents. Finally, we’ll take a look at the legal implications of data breaches including your obligations under the law, the current legal and regulatory landscape and trends in data breach litigation. We’ll close with a short list of actionable items that your organization can do to improve its data breach preparedness. Be sure to invite your Risk Managers!
