In the years leading up to its implementation, Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has cast a long, sometimes ominous shadow over businesses across the globe. The Regulation went live on May 25th of this year, so now that it is in effect, what are its actual features and how do they impact businesses that deal with data? This webinar will discuss the overarching purposes of GDPR, how GDPR compares to U.S. law, and the different categories of businesses to which it applies. Then we will provide a simple overview of the main provisions of GDPR and a checklist of actions you can take to meet its requirements. GDPR is complex, and this webinar will help you break it down into manageable bits so that you can better understand your obligations under the Regulation.
