MAG Membership News: From Vision to Action, MAG is Celebrating 10 Years of Making Change Happen (MAG Quarterly- Volume Six, Issue One)

By Kari Hartley, Director of Member & Administrative Services, Merchant Advisory Group

March 8, 2018

The Merchant Advisory Group (MAG) welcomes new members and sponsors: since December, Academy Sports, Aramark, AutoZone, Bloomin’ Brands, Fareway Foods, Floor and Décor Outlets of America, Inc., MGM Resorts International and Square joined as members; Verifi and Fortiva Retail Credit joined as Silver sponsors.

As we begin the MAG’s 10th year we invite all members to celebrate the foresight of our founding visionary members who decided we needed an organization focused on educating and advocating for merchants across the U.S and eventually the globe. Whether you have been a MAG member for 10 years or you have just joined, we hope you’ll celebrate with us and help MAG envision what the next 10 years of collaboration and focus on driving positive change in the payments industry will bring.

Since 2008 we have grown from 23 charter members to 139 with no signs of slowing down.  Could the founders have envisioned we would have 139 of the largest retailers in the U.S.?  Did they envision MAG members would transact nearly 6 out of every 10 transactions in the U.S.?

We are looking forward to our 10th year and to thanking the founders who took the time to nurture and infuse their energy into a cause greater than their own for the benefit of merchants across the world.

We encourage you to come to the Annual Conference September 12-14, 2018 in Denver Colorado to celebrate the accomplishments of our members, sponsors and partners, to see the difference you are making and allow us to say THANK YOU for all you do for the MAG.

Please be sure to log in and access your MAG Member resources frequently.

Your feedback and contributions are important.  If you have a desire to learn more about joining or getting more involved, please contact Kari Hartley.
