New Members_Sponsors in 2018I never get tired of talking about the exciting pace of the MAG’s growth!  As 2018 draws to a close we reflect on another year of robust membership growth and accomplishments topped off by our wonderful 10th anniversary celebration.

In 2018, we welcomed 18 new merchants, putting our membership at 142 merchant members, an 11% increase from 2017. MAG members are an engaged and highly collaborative group. Your continued willingness to share your expertise with each other through our many educational programs and networking opportunities helps all merchants to infuse positive change into the payment’s ecosystem.

Highlights of MAG 2018-member engagement include:

  • 2 conferences with a combined total attendance of over 1,000 attendees with nearly half of those being merchants.
  • 16 educational webinars which are archived in Member Resources
  • 4 education sessions which were provided in conjunction with the conferences
  • Co-led a Retail Payments Fraud Study
  • Quarterly newsletters
  • MAGMails to our members and sponsors on the most important news in payments when news hits.  Be sure to subscribe to MAG’s Payments News feed

We also welcomed 15 new annual sponsors. We thank you for your generous support, which helps the MAG provide an ambitious slate of valuable programs and resources for members.
Member Growth

2018 marked our tenth anniversary, which we celebrated at the September Annual Conference. It was impressive to recognize 142 of the largest U.S. merchants accounting for $3.4 trillion in annual sales. We’re not resting. The MAG is hard at work on plans to continue providing the value that engages our current members, attracts new members and continues to break records. We look forward to seeing what the next 10 years will bring.

We encourage members to get involved. Simply log into your account (link to log in) and update your profile under the About Me section by adding your skills and expertise. It’s that simple. MAG will contact you and find an opportunity that suits your abilities and time.

MAG will host the 2019 Mid-Year Conference, February 25-27, 2019 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Registration is open on the MAG website. We look forward to seeing you there!

Cheers to a great 2018!
