MAG Welcomes New Staff Members (MAG Quarterly- Volume Seven, Issue Four)

As Director of Education, Eric O’Brien will expand the educational programs MAG offers, including webinars, conference content, and merchant payments educational courses. He will also produce MAG position papers and technical guides, provide cross education on payments business and technology issues, and will be responsible for the strategic direction of MAG’s Special Interest Groups.

Previously, Eric served as Senior Manager of Payment Operations & Analytics at Dunkin’ Brands. In his role at Dunkin’ Brands, Eric oversaw the business vertical of payments acceptance for Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins focusing on financial analytics, accounting, technology, and franchisee relations. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, Eric also managed relationships with the card networks and the acquirers & processors, ensuring rules compliance and representing payments throughout the Dunkin’ ecosystem with many cross-functional teams on digital initiatives and fraud mitigation.

Eric was co-chair of the MAG Collaboration Committee and leader of the MAG Small Ticket/Restaurant Special Interest Group while he worked at Dunkin’ Brands. His expertise in payments and experience within the MAG community will provide a seamless transition into his new role as Director of Education.

  
Paine_Kacie_websiteKacie Paine, Director of Tech Engagement
Kacie Paine serves the MAG as Director of Tech Engagement. In this role, Kacie will coordinate the MAG’s efforts around the Tech Forum, Executive Tech Advisory Board, the Tech Operations and Innovation Committees, coordinate the development of technical  guides, and define educational requirements related to technology.

Prior to joining the MAG, Kacie worked as a Senior Solutions Consultant at Bank of   America Merchant Services (BAMS), where she assisted large corporate/tier one merchants and e-commerce merchants with highly complex processing configurations. Prior to her role at BAMS, Kacie worked for Target in various roles within Payment IT and supported many innovative payments initiatives. Kacie’s payments experience also includes positions at Citigroup/Diners Club and card production vendor Datacard. 

Kacie has been involved with the MAG for several years, and she looks forward to bridging the gap between payments and technology and collaborating with MAG merchants to provide a technical perspective in the payment space.



Leah CollinsLeah Collins, Content Manager
Leah Collins joined the MAG as Content Manager this summer.  Leah has over a decade of expertise in Nonprofit Organization management, Learning Development, Communications and Marketing. She is an expert at developing creative marketing strategies and overseeing the creation of internal and external collateral materials. In previous positions, Leah has led the development and standardization of corporate policies and   comprehensive customer focused procedural documents.

At the MAG, Leah will manage content the MAG produces for conferences, educational materials, marketing promotions and special projects.  She will also support the Advocacy and Communications Committee and the International Committee, as well as assist in webinar planning and execution.

Leah received a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Catherine in Communication Studies and a Master’s in Education degree from Saint Mary’s University focused on Learning Design Technology. 


Lisa Mercurio, Conference Coordinator
Lisa Mercurio
Lisa Mercurio has served as the MAG Conference Coordinator since May 2019. She has over 15 years of experience in the management and execution of association, corporate and government events. Lisa supports the new Tech Forum as well as the Annual and Mid-Year conferences and is experienced in program management, strategic alliances, business development, membership services, sponsorship sales and event operations and   oversight.

Most recently, Lisa was the Event Director for International Conference Development, responsible for the operations, logistics and planning of cross-industry events in the healthcare, technology, architecture, and other sectors. Prior to ICD Events, she was the Membership and Event Services Manager for the Storage Networking Industry Association.
