If you want a case study to prove there’s strength in numbers, the MAG is a perfect example!  As of this newsletter we have 157 members for 9% growth in 2019, and 16% average growth the past 3 years.

This clearly puts MAG at the top. Industry benchmarks show only 19% of associations like MAG achieved this level of growth last year!

MAG has worked hard to facilitate growth while retaining and expanding educational and networking value for members and sponsors.

More Members. More Education. More Networking.

MAG now has the top 10 merchants and 19 of top 20 merchants as members.

Conference Growth

Our 2019 Mid-Year and Annual Conferences both experienced record growth:  24% and 37% respectively.  Our member attendance at conferences continues to grow as well.  353 merchants attended the 2019 Annual Conference and those who attend are bringing multiple attendees with 73% of MAG members bringing 1-5 attendees.

SIG Growth Enhances Vertical-Specific Discussions
Attendance at Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings at MAG conferences has doubled over the past four years. SIGs are based on member verticals for Mass Merchant, eCommerce, Petroleum/Convenience Stores and Small Ticket/Restaurant. SIGs are led by MAG members and each SIG discusses topics specific to their vertical.  These sessions are among the highest rated at our conferences.

Increasing Member Benefits
MAG’s member growth means more voices to share industry and vertical-specific insights on the latest advancements and challenges.

The MAG is providing more education in more formats to support the training and development of payments professionals. In addition to two record-setting conference, members received four education sessions this year on Payments 101, cost of accepting payments, developing payments strategies and ACH.  To add further value, these sessions are put into small modules for efficient consumption and to make it easy for members to use them to train their payments teams.  MAG’s webinars, which engage members and sponsors and industry professionals continue to grow with 16 provided in 2019 and plans for 18 webinars in 2020.

One of the newest benefits to MAG members and sponsors is MAG’s new Tech Forum.  The first Tech Forum took place at the 2019 Annual Conference with over 200 merchants in attendance!  Two webinars have also been held.  For more information on how to get involved as a sponsor or member, click here.
