MAG Engagement Opportunities: Engage, Learn, Share, Advocate! (MAG Quarterly- Volume Eight, Issue Two)

July 1, 2020

In addition to conferences and webinars, MAG offers many opportunities for you to engage with your peers and industry experts on a variety of payments topics, including Committees, Communities of Practice (COPs), and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). These engagement opportunities provide several benefits:

  • Be on the front-end of emerging payments changes
  • Get feedback from other merchants on your organization’s challenges
  • Share your insights to strengthen payments knowledge across merchants
  • Help the MAG advocate for changes that drive positive change & innovation in payments

Below is an overview of the current Committees, COPs, and SIGs. Send an email to info@merchantadvisorygroup.org and identify the group(s) in which you would like to participate.

Committees

  • Strategic discussion of a broad range of topics
  • On-going engagement; typically meet monthly
  • Attendees are merchants only (other stakeholders may be invited to present as needed)

Special Interest Groups (SIGs):

  • Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide an opportunity to network with merchants within the same vertical who share similar challenges and opportunities regarding payments based on your organization
  • SIGs meet face-to-face at each MAG conference and virtually between conferences via the Summer SIG sessions.
  • SIG attendance is merchant only!
  • The first ever Summer SIG series was held from June 2 – June 11. Notes from these sessions are available on the member resources page.
