MAG releases Merchant Payments 202, a new eLearning course!

The Merchant Advisory Group is excited to officially introduce  Merchant Payments 202: Exploring Card Types and Products, an eLearning course designed to enable the learner to effectively analyze and manage the payment card products a merchant accepts. At the end of this course, learners will exhibit knowledge of how to optimize the card product mix to successfully achieve their organization’s payments, customer relationship, and expense goals.

This course expands upon the foundational learning delivered in Merchant Payments 101and whether you are new to managing a payments program or are a veteran, you will benefit from the deep dive into card types and products that MP202 offers!

The MAG's newest eLearning class is now in session. Information regarding the course objectives, cost, estimated time commitment, and receiving a certificate is below.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Recognize and identify the economic tradeoffs associated with each card product and their impact on the merchant's internal processes 
  • Improve the customer experience based on the card that is presented.
  • Choose or recommend the appropriate products for a merchant to accept and issue.

COURSE LENGTH:
Approximately 1-2 hours

CERTIFICATE:

This course expands upon the foundational learning delivered in  Merchant Payments 101 by meeting our main character Avery as she steps in to lead the payments team at Premier Shop, a department store. At the end of the course the learner will exhibit knowledge on how to effectively manage merchant payments by creating strategic and equitable vendor partnerships while leading their team/cross-functional stakeholders to collaborate and make data-based decisions.
