Agenda

John Drechny, CEO, MAG

The EMV® 3DS Specification is in various stages of deployment around the world. The most recent specification was designed to reduce the friction in the checkout by increasing the data required in the authorization process. With the increase in data, new AI models can be built to reduce the number of escalated verifications needed by the consumer. But how has it been working and where is it fully deployed? Come listen to our panel of experts talk about the current implementations from the view of a merchant, network, acquirer and specification body.

Presenters:

  • Robert Mau, Oliver Wyman (Moderator)
  • Brian Byrne, EMVCo
  • Kevin Philemon, Worldpay from FIS
  • Bryan Koh, Singapore Airlines
  • Abhijeet Ramesh, Visa
  • Gautam Pande, Mastercard
  • Chian Leng Toh, Discover

Every merchant is concerned with reducing fraud from the payment eco system but needs to balance this with ensure good customers are approved. Merchants also face varying approval rates by issuers as different information in the authorization process causes declines. In order to maximize the number of customer approvals, merchants need to understand what causes declines and what are the ways to increase approval rates. In this session, we will hear from industry experts on what enhancements merchants are making to maximize their approval rates.

Presenters:

  • Robbie MacDiarmid, CMSPI (Moderator)
  • Monica AcreeForter
  • Vishal Mehta, Microsoft
  • Ben Laurie, Accertify
  • Prasanna Varadharajan, Fiserv

The FinTech industry is booming in Asia and everyday there are new ways to accept payments. As a merchant your goal is to make sure you have the right payment types available for the customers you serve without making the checkout process so complicated a customer can’t find their desired method of payment. So what payment types are seeing an uptick with consumers and how do they work? Don’t miss this session as our panel discusses the latest and greatest in payment methods that consumers are adopting.

Presenters:

  • Shobit Mehra, Expedia (Moderator)
  • Sara Savidge, J.P. Morgan
  • SheueChee BEH, NTTData
  • Dana Nino, NIUM
  • Hamish Moline, ZIP

The payment world continues to evolve, and it is important for merchants to have their voices heard in the industry. It is equally important for merchants to participate in forums which allow them to share experiences and learn from each other on how to improve the payment experience. Our roundtable is designed for just that - an opportunity in a no-pressure environment for an open and honest chat with your peers about what keeps you up at night. Share your frustration with the current state of the payment ecosystem and collectively share with other merchants on where you feel improvements need to be made.

This is a merchant only session so merchants can feel comfortable to share and learn from each other in an open dialogue.
