A Year of Momentum, Growth, and Global Collaboration

As we move into the final stretch of 2025, it’s inspiring to reflect on the incredible progress the Merchant Advisory Group (MAG) has made across our international markets. This year has been a defining one, marked by record-breaking participation, deeper merchant engagement, and a growing global voice for merchant payments advocacy.

Expanding Our Reach Across Europe and APAC

MAG’s international footprint continues to strengthen, with both our European and APAC chapters experiencing significant growth. Our mission remains clear: to foster collaboration, drive payments education, and build trusted relationships across the merchant community worldwide.

This year, we hosted two major MAG Payments Summits — each bringing together the brightest minds in the industry.

MAG London Payments Summit 2025 brought together over 220 payments professionals, including 84 merchants from across Europe. The discussions reflected a rapidly evolving landscape, from open banking innovation and regulation to the future of digital commerce across the EU and U.K.
MAG APAC Payments Summit 2025 was held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, welcoming over 250 attendees, including 116 merchants, our largest APAC audience to date. The three-day event featured 19 educational sessions, including a keynote from His Excellency Nik Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore. The energy and engagement across all sessions demonstrated the growing importance of payments transformation across the region.

Across both events, the MAG saw an impressive 19% increase in international attendance year-over-year, a testament to our expanding global network and the value merchants and solution providers find in being part of the MAG community.

Growing Merchant Engagement Year-Round

Beyond our flagship summits, 2025 marked the launch of the MAG’s international webinar in May, the first in a new series designed to bring global insights directly to our merchants and partners. With strong participation and positive feedback, the MAG plans to deliver six additional webinars in 2026, further strengthening our role as a source of education and connection for the payments ecosystem.

Our Merchant-Only Regional Meet-Ups also continue to gain traction, providing safe, collaborative environments for merchants to share experiences, discuss regional challenges, and crowdsource solutions. This year alone, the MAG hosted two meet-ups in Singapore and one in London, with six more scheduled across Europe and APAC in 2026.

As we look to 2026, the MAG remains focused on building an even stronger international foundation — one where education, collaboration, and advocacy continue to empower merchants and influence the global payments landscape.

With continued growth, new initiatives, and deeper engagement across all regions, the MAG’s international journey is only just beginning.
